EHCP support for parents
You should not have to fight this hard to get the right support.
We provide independent, legally grounded EHCP advice and advocacy for families who know something is not right but are unsure what to do next.
The EHCP process can feel overwhelming and complicated. It doesn’t have to.
An EHCP is one of the most important documents your child may have. It is a legally enforceable plan that should clearly set out:
- your child’s special educational needs;
- the support and special educational provision they must receive; and
- the type of education or placement they require.
When an EHCP is clear, specific and legally compliant, it can protect your child’s education and help ensure the right support is delivered.
When it is vague, incomplete or inaccurate, your child may be left without the provision they need and are legally entitled to receive.
If you are reading this, you may already feel that something is not right. We are here to help you understand what is missing, what needs to change and what steps to take next
Understanding what should and should not be in your child’s EHCP
Identifying where wording is vague, incomplete or legally weak
Reviewing professional reports and ensuring the recommendations are properly reflected in the EHCP
Preparing for annual reviews and challenging decisions that have not resulted in meaningful change
Requesting an EHC needs assessment and strengthening your evidence from the outset
You’re not alone
When families usually need EHCP support
Families often reach out when one of these situations sounds all too familiar.

Is this the right support for you?
This support is often the right fit when you know something is not right with your child’s EHCP or the process surrounding it, but you are unsure what needs to change or where to begin.
EHCP support is often most helpful when
you are preparing to request an EHC needs assessment
you have received a draft EHCP and are unsure how to represent your amendments or cross reference your professional evidence into the document
provision does not clearly reflect your child’s needs or the professional evidence
an annual review has taken place but the plan has not changed
you need help understanding what the law requires and what your options are
This may not be the right fit if
you already have a final decision and need to prepare a formal Tribunal appeal immediately
your main concern is Tribunal evidence, legal submissions or working document preparation
you need support with benefits, blue badges or non-education issues
